Young coconuts have either a green shell while mature coconuts are the
more familiar-looking brown, hairy variety. Young coconuts have more
'water' and soft, gel-like meat, and mature coconuts have firm meat and
less 'water.'

Vanuatu Fiji or Bali
Well Fiji has been such a popular destination for so long but after what has happened there over the last week will more travelers choose to visit Vanuatu or will they still go to Bali in Droves.
With Todays economic downturn and this latest action by the Government Fiji's Tourism has hit a major hurdle and this will probably be the nail in the coffin and I cant see it recovering for along time.
Bali's Tourism is at its highest level ever with Australians flocking there... Australian travelers to Bali during the first two months of 2009 totaled 48,068 a 34.64% increase over the same period in 2008 (35,701).
South East Asia is cheap, has great food, amazing cultures and great weather. There are so many cheap flights hitting those areas and many deals on offer.
For the Gen X and Gen Y it has become a no brainer as to where to visit.
The South Pacific is a beautiful place, but if the Area wants to jump up to the plate and try and attract more Tourist away from Asia then it really needs to do some dramatic changes in its New Media and Marketing to make it a viable proposition for the Tourist.
If it keeps promoting itself like it does then tourist $$$ they are targeting will be coming from an Older crowd.. I have nothing against that but for South Pacific Tourism to become cool and attract a younger demographic crowd it needs more than a few websites and Brochures.. These are great but so Old Skool.
Things will become very hard over the next 12 months and many Business's relying on tourist dollar will strugle. Some will stay afloat and some will sink.
Hopefully The Beautiful South Pacific will keep treading water long enough until the No's start to flow through the airports again.
Peace :)

Vanuatu : Cascade waterfall
A visit to Mele Cascades waterfall is an amazing experience. You can swim under the cascade itself or in any of the 5 pools which all are an outpouring of a deep underground spring with water that is cool, clear and refreshing.
